This old Carter Tune is one of the favorites you will find in the flatpicking guitar community. You often don't find very good arrangements of this break, but I think you will love adding this arrangement to your bag of tricks.

In this lesson on Flatpicking Guitar you will learn to play the Intermediate Will The Circle Be Unbroken.

You will hear many versions of this break, and they range from a medium-fast tempo to very fast.

This one is played in the open position without a capo in the key of C major. You may find other arrangements varying from playing it in C major with a capo on the second fret, making it played in the key of D. Also other arrangements can be in the key of D major in the open position or the key of A with a capo on the second fret.

Have fun with this one and be sure to start out very slowly and work up to speed of about 180 to 200  beats per minute. (This means you play 360 to 400 eighth notes per minute).
