Our overriding policy is simple. Ultimate Guitar Online wants to be your source for guitar plans, woods, materials, supplies, and tools, and we are committed to making sure that you are happy with your purchase.


The information you provide is kept within our company. Custom instruments are not a commodity; neither are our customers identities or the services and materials we provide for them. We appreciate the opportunity to do business with you as an individual customer, and none of the information you provide or that is generated through our relationship is for sale or other distribution. Likewise, we do not purchase or use any sorts of mailing lists.
 Item Exchanges or Returns

Digital items are sold as-is and are not returnable. Please read the detailed information for each product carefully before your purchase. If you make an error in your order, such as double ordering a product or you selected the wrong product, please contact us as soon as possible.

For other products, please examine your product immediately upon the receipt of the product(s). We will accept exchanges or returns for a 2 week period after receipt of the product(s) for any reason, but you must contact us first. After the 2 week period has expired there will be a 20% restocking fee charged for returned products.

After 60 days, returns will be solely up to Ultimate OnLine Service's discretion. Ultimate OnLine Services will only pay return shipping if the product is defective or they do not meet the size specifications.

Futhermore, all products must be returned undamaged and un-worked and in a re-sellable condition.

Upon approval for return, we will email you the return instructions.

Out of Stock Items.

Even though our shopping cart is very sophisticated with our inventory control, there may be an instance where very low quantities can result in an out-of-stock condition by the time we ship your order. We will automatically place your product on Back-Order, contact you for your approval and upon receipt of the product will ship it to you with free shipping and handling (continental United States only). If you are ordering from outside the continental U.S., the price of the product will be refunded to you and the product but be re-ordered at a later date.

Credit Card Payment Processing

When you place an order using a credit card, we follow the standard practice of pre-authorizing the card for the amount of the order. The process of pre-authorizing tells us that you have sufficient funds for your order and puts a hold on that amount for approximately 6 days. When your order ships, we get paid. This payment process is called post-authorizing. This process clears the pre-authorization and actually takes the money from your card (or bank account if you are using a debit card).

If your order never ships (because of a backorder, for example), the pre-authorization clears after anywhere from 6-30 days, depending on your banks policy. If your order ships and the amount of the order is less than the pre-authorization, the actual amount of the order is charged to the card and the pre-authorization clears.
